Google is one of the worlds leading search engines, providing search results for millions all over the world. There are three major webmaster guidelines that can be helpful before submitting a website with google.
Design and content guidelines
Here, google describes about the use of appropriate content for images as crawlers cannot read the text within image. The maximum links in a page should be 100. The proper uses of alt, title tags are described here. There should not be any broken links in a website.
Technical guidelines
Here, google advises to use text browser to check the website first. Also the importance of Http-header information and other technical specification are listed here. Importance of the robots.txt file, which is used to specify the file and folders to be crawled, is highlighted. Even the type of coding to be followed with content management system, browser compatibility is also specified in this section.
Most important of all is the Quality guideline from google which is very much mandatory.
Quality guidelines
Google sticks on to this point very strictly which mainly focuses on malpractices that should not be followed or blackhat SEO techniques like cloaking, doorway pages, automated link submission software’s, keyword stuffing, duplicate content.
